RoyalRide Taxi – Terms & Conditions

By making a booking with RoyalRide Taxi, either online, via phone, or in person, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to our Terms & Conditions. Our terms are designed in line with UK legislation to ensure transparency, safety, and professionalism.


1. Pricing Policy

  • All prices are confirmed at the time of booking and will not change unless the journey itinerary is modified.
  • Prices may be updated due to special events, inflation, or market conditions with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

2. Cancellations

  • No cancellation fee applies if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled pickup.
  • Between 24–48 hours: £10 charge applies.
  • Under 2 hours: up to 100% of the fare may be charged.
  • If a driver has been dispatched and the passenger fails to show, a full call-out fee will be charged.

3. Upfront Payment

RoyalRide Taxi reserves the right to request payment in advance for any booking.


4. Airport Transfers

  • We allow up to 1 hour of waiting time from the flight landing time.
  • Additional waiting time is charged at the standard hourly rate.
  • If the client fails to arrive or respond, no refund will be issued.

5. Meet & Greet

  • Free waiting for the first 30–45 minutes, depending on service type.
  • A standard fee of £15 applies, excluding parking and additional waiting beyond the free window.

6. Delays

  • Flight delays of 2–4 hours incur a £10 fee.
  • Delays over 4 hours: £20 fee and possible booking cancellation if no vehicle is available.

7. Insurance

All RoyalRide Taxi vehicles and drivers are fully insured, including Public Liability.


8. Routes & Delays

  • Drivers will choose the best route available at the time of travel.
  • RoyalRide is not responsible for delays due to traffic, weather, or external factors.

9. Vehicle Rules

  • No smoking is allowed in any vehicle.
  • Food and alcohol are not permitted without prior approval.
  • Illegal items such as drugs or weapons are strictly forbidden.

10. Children

Child seats are available upon request and subject to availability. Parents/guardians are responsible for securing the seat properly.


11. Complaints

All complaints must be reported to the driver at the time and submitted in writing to contact@royalridetaxi.com with relevant details. Our management will respond promptly.


12. Waiting Time Charges

  • First 15 minutes of standard waiting time is free (30–45 mins for airport pickups).
  • Extra time is charged at £30/hour or per current tariff.

13. Congestion/Events

Additional waiting charges may apply during events, peak congestion, or holidays. Notice will be given by phone, SMS, or email.


14. Behaviour Policy

RoyalRide Taxi reserves the right to refuse service to passengers displaying disorderly or dangerous behaviour. No refunds will be issued in such cases.


15. Lost & Damaged Items

We are not responsible for items left behind. Theft, loss, or damage caused by the passenger will be charged.


16. Booking Confirmation

Bookings are valid only with confirmation via email or text. If you do not receive confirmation within 60 minutes, contact us immediately.


17. Vehicle Allocation

We aim to provide the booked vehicle category. A similar alternative may be offered if the original is unavailable.


18. Surcharges

Journeys during bank holidays or unsocial hours (22:00 – 06:00) will incur additional charges of 50–100%.


19. Additional Charges

Any tolls, parking, or special requirements will be charged at cost. Parking fines due to passenger actions will be billed to the client.


20. Luggage

Only hand luggage and laptops may be taken inside the vehicle. Larger items must be stored in the boot.


21. Vehicle Damage

Clients will be charged for any damage or cleaning required due to their actions, as well as for downtime of the vehicle.


22. Payments

We accept all major credit/debit cards, online transfers, and approved account payments. VAT will be added where applicable.


23. Hourly & Daily Hire

  • £30/hour for standard fleet
  • £40/hour for Executive/MPV
  • Mileage starts from £2.50/mile for standard cars.

24. Online Bookings

Minimum rate: £10. Night-time and outside-area bookings may include surcharges up to 50%. Night and 7-seater bookings must be confirmed by phone.


25. Peak Time Charges

Extra charges may apply during:

  • Mon–Thurs: 07:00–09:00, 15:00–18:00
  • Fri: 07:00–09:00, 13:00–18:00
  • Sat–Sun: 12:00–17:00

Charges: up to 25% extra or £30/hour during these times.


26. Promotions

  • Happy Hour (Wednesdays 11:00–12:00): Special discounted fares.
  • Return Airport Transfers: £5–£10 discount on one leg when paid in advance.
  • Offers are for standard saloon cars only and may be withdrawn at any time.

27. Snacks & Drinks

Complimentary refreshments are consumed at your own risk. Please notify us in advance of any allergies or conditions.
